The elusive 'neutrino' and what it can tell us about our universe

You may have never heard of a 'neutrino', but this elusive subatomic particle could hold important clues in our understanding of such phenomena as the heat rising from the centre of the earth, or super nova explosions occurring many light years away. Radio RTVS speaks with Fedor Šimkovic - a nuclear and sub-nuclear physicist at Bratislava's Comenius University who specialises in neutrinos, and laureate of the ESET Science Award - about these fascinating particles and why it's important that we understand them.
