Anne Leriche is a professor at the laboratory of advanced ceramic materials and processes at the University of Valenciennes in France. She also led the lab from 1999 to 2016, and she now leads numerous research projects. She has made outstanding contributions in the field of engineering ceramics and, more recently, bioceramics. She developed an early understanding of how to control microstructure and how to establish microstructure-property correlation in a range of structural ceramics. Professor Leriche is an elected fellow of the European Ceramic Society, of the World Academy of Ceramics and of the American Ceramic Society. In 2017 she received the ECerS Stuijts Award (2017) and in 2020 the ECerS-ACerS Award.
